React, Redux and Firestore

One of my goals in creating the Twitter Clone Application is to transition my personal base template from Firebase to Firestore.  At first this seemed like a fairly trivial task – I rooted through some documentation and with not too much trouble I was able to pull back a simple document collection.  However, I quickly realized that there was more to Firestore than simple collection.  I wanted to be able to properly integrate it with Redux rather than slapping a hook and a few lines of React on a page every time I wanted to perform an action.  I had a nice clean template – it made sense to do this the right way.

A few bonus items from this course.  First, it covered cloud functions.  I had seen them a little bit but never interacted with them.  Second, it covered firebase hosting (I had only hosted on heroku before).
